PremierVPN X — VLESS + REALITY App

Last updated 05 Apr 2026 26 views 🚀 Getting Started

What is PremierVPN X?

PremierVPN X is a separate VPN app that uses the VLESS + REALITY protocol instead of WireGuard. It's designed for situations where standard VPN protocols are blocked or detected by network firewalls.

When you connect through PremierVPN X, your traffic is indistinguishable from regular HTTPS web browsing. Deep packet inspection (DPI) systems, corporate firewalls, and national censorship infrastructure cannot identify it as a VPN connection.

When Should I Use PremierVPN X vs PremierVPN?

Use PremierVPN (WireGuard) for everyday browsing, streaming, and general privacy. WireGuard is faster and has lower latency.

Use PremierVPN X (VLESS) when:

  • You're in a country that blocks VPN traffic (China, Iran, Russia, UAE)
  • Your hotel, office, or university network blocks VPN connections
  • You don't want your network to know you're using a VPN at all

How Do I Get PremierVPN X?

PremierVPN X is included free with every PremierVPN subscription. Download it from your Downloads page in the portal.

Currently available on: macOS

Coming soon: Windows, iOS, Android

How Do I Sign In?

Use your portal login — the same email and password you use on portal.premiervpn.net. This is different from your VPN credentials (which are only used for third-party WireGuard/OpenVPN clients).

Can I Run Both Apps?

Yes — both PremierVPN and PremierVPN X can be installed on the same device. However, you should only connect through one at a time. Disconnect from one before connecting with the other.

Do I Need to Configure Anything?

No. PremierVPN X handles everything automatically. When you sign in, the app creates a unique UUID for your account and fetches the server list from the portal. Just choose a server and connect.

What Platforms Are Supported?

PremierVPN X for macOS requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or later, and supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Windows, iOS, and Android versions are in development and will be announced on our blog.
