The client portal at portal.premiervpn.net is where you manage your plan, invoices, downloads and account. This article explains the ways to sign in, how Google and Apple sign-in work with our apps, and what to do if you're locked out.
Sign in with your email and password
- Go to portal.premiervpn.net.
- Enter your Email and Password. Tick Keep me signed in on this device if it's your own device.
- Click Sign in. If a quick security check appears, complete it first.
- If two-factor authentication is on, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify. You can tick Trust this browser so you aren't asked again on this browser for a set number of days.
The same email and password sign you in to all the PremierVPN apps.
Sign in with Google or Apple
On the sign-in page, click Continue with Google or Continue with Apple and follow the prompts.
- If you already have an account with that email, Google or Apple is linked to it. Your existing password keeps working, so you can use either way to sign in.
- If it's a new email, a new account is created with no password. You can use the portal straight away, but you need to set a password before you can sign in to the apps (see below).
- Signing in with Google or Apple never changes or resets your password.
Set a password so you can use the apps
The PremierVPN apps sign in with an email and password. If you created your account with Google or Apple, set a portal password first:
- Sign in to the portal with Google or Apple.
- Go to Settings › Portal Password.
- Enter your new password twice. It needs at least 8 characters, with upper and lower case letters, a number and a symbol.
- Click Set Portal Password.
Now sign in to the app with your account email and this password. Until you set one, the Dashboard and Downloads page show a reminder.
Forgotten your current password? For 30 minutes after you sign in with Google or Apple, Settings lets you set a new portal password without entering the old one. The window closes as soon as you save a new password.
Portal login or VPN credentials?
| Login | What it is | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Portal login | Your email and portal password (or Google or Apple) | The portal and the PremierVPN apps (Google or Apple works in the portal only) |
| VPN credentials | A separate VPN username and VPN password, shown on your Dashboard | Third-party apps and manual set-ups: IKEv2, OpenConnect (AnyConnect), OpenVPN, routers |
Changing one doesn't change the other. More detail: Understanding Your VPN Credentials.
Forgot your password?
- Make sure you're signed out. The reset pages only work when you aren't signed in.
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
- Enter your account email and click Send reset link.
- Open the email and follow the link. Check spam or junk if it hasn't arrived after a few minutes.
- Choose a new password: at least 8 characters, with upper and lower case letters and a number.
This also works for accounts created with Google or Apple. It's a quick way to give yourself a password for the apps.
Lost your authenticator app?
On the two-factor screen, enter one of your recovery codes instead of the 6-digit code. If you don't have your recovery codes either, contact support through our Support & Help Centre from the email address on your account, and we'll help you regain access.
Business team members
If your organisation added you as a team member on a Business plan, your login is for the PremierVPN apps only. Team members can't sign in to the portal. Ask your account administrator if you need your password reset.
FAQs
Can I change my email address?
Yes. Go to Settings, change Email under Profile, and click Update Profile. Use the new email next time you sign in, including in the apps.
The portal works but the app won't accept my login
Check you're using your portal email and password, not your VPN username. If you only ever signed in with Google or Apple, set a portal password first (see above). If two-factor authentication is on, the app asks for your code after your password.
I'm not receiving the reset email
Check spam or junk, and make sure you entered the email on your account. If you signed up with Google or Apple, use the email address from that Google or Apple account.
