How to Set Up PremierVPN X on macOS

Last updated 05 Apr 2026 22 views 🚀 Getting Started

PremierVPN X for macOS uses the VLESS + REALITY protocol. Your traffic looks like normal HTTPS browsing — undetectable by firewalls and DPI systems.

System Requirements

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) or Intel Mac
  • An active PremierVPN subscription

Step 1: Download

  1. Log in to the Client Portal and go to your Downloads page.
  2. Under PremierVPN X, download the macOS version.

Step 2: Install

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag PremierVPN X to your Applications folder.
  3. Launch the app from Applications or Spotlight.

Step 3: Sign In

  1. Enter your portal email and password.
  2. If you have 2FA enabled, enter your authenticator code.
  3. Your session is stored securely for 90 days.

Note: PremierVPN X uses your portal login — not your VPN credentials.

Step 4: Connect

  1. Go to the Servers page and choose a server.
  2. Click Connect on the Dashboard.
  3. The connection indicator turns green when connected, showing your server and the REALITY protocol.

Verify Your Connection

  • Dashboard shows "Connected" with server name and REALITY protocol
  • Visit premiervpn.net/ip-leak-test to confirm your IP has changed
  • Check the menu bar icon shows a connected status

Can I Run Both PremierVPN and PremierVPN X?

Yes — both apps can be installed on the same Mac. Only connect through one at a time. Disconnect from WireGuard before connecting with PremierVPN X, and vice versa.
