Know when your details have leaked
A VPN protects your connection. It can't do anything about data that's already out there. The Security Dashboard checks your email addresses, passwords and IP addresses against known breaches and abuse reports, so you know what needs fixing.
- Email breach checks
- Password exposure
- Dark web monitoring
- IP reputation
Included with Premium VPN (from $7.50/mo) and Business VPN.
- Built into your PremierVPN dashboard
- Passwords checked without leaving your device
- No extra cost with Premium and Business
- UK-based support, 24/7
Beyond what a VPN can do
Breaches happen to the services you use, not to your connection. These checks watch for the fallout and tell you what to change.
Email breach check
See whether an address has turned up in a known data breach, and exactly what was exposed.
How it works →Password exposure
Test a password against leaked password lists without the password ever leaving your browser.
How it works →Dark web monitoring
Look for your email on the paste sites where stolen data gets dumped and shared.
How it works →IP reputation
Check your own IP and your VPN server IPs against a shared abuse database.
How it works →Find out where your address has leaked
Enter an email address and the dashboard checks it against thousands of known data breaches, going back more than a decade.
For each breach you see what was taken: passwords, phone numbers, home addresses, IP addresses and more. That tells you which accounts need attention and what information may be in the wrong hands.
- Searches thousands of known data breaches
- Shows exactly what was exposed in each one
- Includes the breach date and how many accounts were affected
- Check up to 3 email addresses a day
Check a password without sending it
Test any password against a large database of passwords collected from real breaches. A leaked password can be tried automatically against your other accounts, a technique called credential stuffing.
Your privacy is protected by k-anonymity. The password is hashed with SHA-1 in your browser and only the first 5 characters of that hash are sent. The match is made on your device.
- Your password never leaves your browser
- SHA-1 k-anonymity: only a 5-character prefix is sent
- Checked against passwords from real-world breaches
- Unlimited checks, no daily limit
Spot stolen data where it gets shared
Stolen data is often dumped on paste sites, sometimes before a breach is made public. The dashboard looks for your email address in these pastes so you can act early.
A paste is an anonymous text upload. Finding your email in one means your details have been shared by someone who shouldn't have them. The sooner you know, the sooner you can change passwords and lock down your accounts.
- Checks paste sites where stolen data is dumped
- Can show exposure before a breach is announced
- Shows the source and date of each paste
- An early warning for stolen credentials
Make sure your IP isn't on a blocklist
Every IP address has a reputation. If yours has been reported for spam, brute-force attempts or other abuse, you may see blocked websites, more CAPTCHAs or rejected emails.
The dashboard checks your current IP and every VPN server IP assigned to your account against a global abuse database. Each gets a score from 0 (clean) to 100 (high risk), with the ISP, country and usage type.
- Checks your current IP and your VPN server IPs
- Abuse reports from the last 90 days
- Shows ISP, country and usage type
- Flags Tor exit nodes and proxy IPs
- Check up to 5 other IPs a day
Three steps
Choose Premium or Business
The Security Dashboard is included at no extra cost with Premium VPN and Business VPN.
Run a full scan
One click checks your email, passwords and every IP address together. Results appear as each check finishes.
Act on what it finds
Change any exposed passwords, turn on two-factor authentication, and keep an eye on the accounts it flags.
- Breaches
- Email breach checks and paste monitoring use Have I Been Pwned (HIBP).
- Passwords
- HIBP Pwned Passwords, queried with k-anonymity so only a 5-character hash prefix leaves your browser.
- IP reputation
- AbuseIPDB, a shared database of reported abusive IP addresses.

Questions
What is the Security Dashboard?
A set of security checks built into your PremierVPN dashboard. It checks whether your email addresses have appeared in known data breaches, tests passwords against leaked password lists, looks for your email on paste sites where stolen data is dumped, and checks that your IP addresses have a clean reputation.
Which plans include it?
Premium VPN and Business VPN, at no extra cost. It isn't part of Personal VPN, but you can upgrade from your dashboard at any time and only pay the difference for the rest of your billing period.
Is my password safe when I check it?
Yes. It uses a technique called k-anonymity. Your password is hashed with SHA-1 in your browser and only the first 5 characters of that hash are sent. The full hash and the password itself never leave your device. The service sends back every leaked hash that starts with those 5 characters, and your browser does the comparison.
What should I do if my email is found in a breach?
Change the password on the breached service straight away. If you used the same password anywhere else, change it there too. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever you can, and use a password manager so every account has its own password.
How often should I run a scan?
Once a week is a good habit, and again whenever a large breach is in the news. The breach data is updated as new breaches are found and verified.
What does the IP reputation score mean?
It runs from 0 (clean) to 100 (high risk). A score of 0 means no abuse reports have been filed against that IP. Scores above 25 can mean the IP has been reported for spam, brute-force attempts or other abuse. For VPN server IPs, a low score under 25 is normal and nothing to worry about.
Can I check other people's email addresses?
Yes, you can check any address. It's useful for family members or colleagues, with their permission. You can check up to 3 email addresses a day.
Where does the data come from?
Email breach checks and paste monitoring use Have I Been Pwned (HIBP). Password checks use the HIBP Pwned Passwords service with k-anonymity. IP reputation checks use AbuseIPDB, a shared database of reported abusive IP addresses.
Protect more than your connection
