You can move to a higher plan at any time from the client portal. The new plan's features start straight away, and its price applies from your next renewal.
Before you start
- Your service needs to be active. If it's suspended because of an unpaid invoice, pay the invoice first.
- Compare what each plan includes on our pricing page.
- If you have more than one service, Upgrade plan changes your most recent one. To change a different service, open a support ticket and tell us which one.
Upgrade your plan
- Sign in to the portal at portal.premiervpn.net.
- In the sidebar, go to Billing › Upgrade plan. This opens the Manage Subscription page.
- Check the Current Plan box. It shows your plan, billing cycle, price and renewal date.
- In the Change Plan section, click Switch to [plan name] on the plan you want.
- Under Choose billing cycle, click the cycle you want. Each option shows its price.
- Click OK in the confirmation box.
A message confirms the switch and the rate you'll pay from your next renewal.
What happens to your billing
- You aren't charged when you switch. There's no part-period charge and no credit for the rest of your current period.
- Your renewal date stays the same. From that date you're billed the new plan's price for the billing cycle you chose.
- You can see the new price and cycle on My services.
The upgrade takes effect immediately, including any higher device limit on the new plan.
What stays the same
- Your VPN username and VPN password don't change, so third-party apps and config files keep working.
- Your portal email and password don't change, so you stay signed in to the PremierVPN apps.
After you upgrade
- Premium VPN includes one dedicated IP. Claim it under Billing › Add-ons. See How to Add a Dedicated IP.
- Business VPN adds a Team section to the sidebar so you can give staff their own logins. See How to Add a New VPN User.
